The global population is always growing, which shows that society becomes even more dependent on natural resources. The purpose of this article is to analyze the situation of oil and gas producing countries as well as their reserves at international and national level. Another purpose of the article is to explore the key fields of exploration by choosing an appropriate resource assessment. The abundance of natural resources promotes economic growth, but dependence on them impedes economic activity.
