In this sense, the aim of this paper, is to study the nature of the new currency, highlighting the differences between it and the official ones as well as security issues related to their value and volatility. The risks will also be mentioned, both those related to fraud and cybercrime, and those associated with energy consumption, which raise several issues in terms of environmental impact.
